Manning is a function of the number of qualified and experienced seafarers necessary for the safety of the ship, crew, passengers, cargo and property and for the protection of the marine environment. This is part of the provisions of SOLAS regulation V/13 with respect to the issue of an appropriate safe manning document or equivalent as evidence of minimum safe manning.
The purpose begin that international acceptance of broad principles as a framework for administrations to determine the safe manning of ships would materially enhance maritime safety and protection of the marine environment.

OFFSHORE

AUDIT

Audits and inspections are performed to ensure and measure the degree of implementation and effectiveness of arrangements in place. This is in fact a periodical verification of the effectiveness of the Safety Management System and the compliance with rules.
We have a monitoring tool that allows us to analyse outcomes of audits/inspection and vettings and can show trend lines of observed deficiencies.
The system audit should also establish corrective action and improvement plans and ensure that personnel understand the requirements and that management commitment is evident.
Internal audits are carried out on board and in the office with intervals not exceeding 12 months. A yearly Audit Plan shows the planning of internal and external audits.

PREPARATION FOR PRE VETTING INSPECTION

Gaur hari marine service a pre-vetting Inspection we visit the vessel and perform an in-depth inspection covering all areas on board in relation to the SIRE Vetting programme with special focus on the Vessel Inspection Questionnaire (VIQ) in order to prepare the vessel for an upcoming vetting.
The overall objective is to identify any deficiencies which, according to the inspector’s experience, are likely to cause a negative response during a SIRE Vetting.
During the inspection the crew responsible for the various departments on board are given on the spot guidance in order to prepare them best possible for a vetting.
The vessel Operator is provided with a detailed report with recommendations not later than 48 hours after completion of the Pre-vetting Inspection. The Master is provided with a summary and guidance prior to the inspector leaving the vessel.
